Dear mummy, we are BEST friends. I may only be 3 years old but I copy you all the time and try to emulate you. I pretend to put on my makeup and watch you silently in the mornings as you get ready to go to work. I’ve even started to impersonate you and copy your mannerisms which is slightly creepy!
You are my idol (at the moment) and I admire your outward confidence. You have a quirky sense of style and are a real individual. I love this about you. I like how we can have fun together, even when you are strict with me.
I walk around like a mini-me and we are thick as thieves. Always joking, reenacting stories and cuddling. My mummy loves being so close with me…long may it last!
So imagine my joy when a special little package arrived through the post from a company called Bryony & Co (Formally known as Poppy England).
You usually order clothes for me online, so nothing really surprising there – what was surprising is that you had ordered yourself a dress too. A dress to match mine!!
We’re twins! I cried out when I saw the matching dresses! This may be the only time I’m cool with dressing like my mummy, so she has taken full advantage of my wiliness.
The dresses are from Bryony & Co, a beautiful English clothing brand based in London. You were drawn to their quirky colours and vintage dress patterns. They are all individually tailored using unique prints. Bryony & Co are all about telling stories through their clothes and accompanying story books which we love and think are a great idea!
My mummy picked out a cute tunic style dress with a striking budgie print in creamy coral red. It’s beautiful on and we had so many lovely comments from passerbys over the Easter weekend.
My mummy teamed her Bryony & Co dress with black leggings and a black cardigan, see she’s still a bit of a goth after all! I wore a matching lemon yellow cardigan also from Bryony & Co, with yellow leggings from NEXT and my blue sparkly shoes from Clarks, much to my mummy’s dismay at laying out another pair of red Mary Janes from Sainsbury’s which I rejected. It’s cool though, as I know how to style up an outfit on my own!!
We had a lovely walk around Beaulieu in the New Forest on Good Friday and it was the perfect place to take pictures and show off the dresses to family and friends. We went on our own Alice in Wonderland themed adventure!
Bryony & Co’s dresses are super comfy to wear as well and being tunic dresses they give you the freedom to move around. As they are made out of cotton they are breathable too, with a slip sewn in, so they aren’t see through. The dresses came with a matching belt and I chose to wear mine, while mummy left hers off.
I may hate my mummy for posting pictures of these dresses in the future, when I’m grumpy teenager, but while I’m still young enough to want to dress like my mum, she’s going to take advantage of it!

What gorgeous dresses. I love the vintage design and they are a beautiful colour. I think it is adorable to dress alike.
