Dear mummy, thank goodness for Toucan Boxes! It’s our 3rd day on holiday and the weather is awful. We’re confined to my caravan and I’m climbing the walls.
Luckily my mummy packed my Mister Maker Toucan Box, as she knew I’d need occupying if the heavens opened. It’s now raining cats and dogs and our caravan is pretty glum for a toddler and my mummy would rather me do an activity than watch telly all day.
We were sent through a craft subscription box from Toucan Box, but this one is super special it’s part of the Mister Maker Club! In fact the whole box is filled with fun crafting activities.
We’ve never tried a subscription box before, so are both eager to open the box and see what’s inside. It’s a letterbox size box (petit) with Mister Maker and his shapes all over it. It’s very colourful and looks attractive. A nice box to get through the post. You can personalise them too by ordering through the website.
We’re really impressed with what can get packed into the box. Our set is Circus themed and comes with a pre-cut clown mask to decorate, pom poms, sticky back foam circles, feathers, pipe cleaners, glue pen, coloured card templates, lollipop stick and double sticky pads. Woweeee! That’s a lot of stuff!
Not only that, but there are full step by step instructions that even a child can follow 😉 A circus activity book to take your Toucan Box further and a massive A2 Mini Maker reward and achievement chart, so I can put it on my wall at home! It charts my crafting achievements and I get a sticker in each box to add to the poster.
I’ve had really good fun making my clown mask and drawing in my activity book. It keeps me occupied for well over an hour and I’m really glad my folks packed it for holiday. A perfect solution for a rainy day and travelling. It makes a welcomed relief from board games and telly.
I’m really proud of the mask that I’ve made and it fuels a role play session afterwards where I pretend to run away to the circus! I love cutting and glueing and sticking and this helps improve my fine motor skills. I’m 3 years old and got on well with this. Toucan Boxes are a great little activity to do on my own or with adult supervision (I just needed help with the scissors, which weren’t provided).
We’d definitely recommend this crafting box for any small child (or big kid as my mummy loved doing it with me too). A great thing to pack in your suitcase for travels too!
It made our rainy day in the caravan much more bearable 😉
Love Bella xx

Disclosure: We received this box in order to write an honest review.
Ooh I’ve seen these advertised and wondered if they were any good. What age would you say they’re suitable for? The Child is 2.5 so worried she might be too young.
On the website it says 3-8, but I would say a toddler is fine, just will need adult supervision with smaller parts and scissors xx
This looks amazing 🙂 my 4 year old would love this ! I’m having to be more creative with our indoor activities at the moment with all the rain we’ve been having !
There’s too much rain atm!! Driving us insane! This kinda thing helps 🙂
