Funidelia Rocket Man Costume Review
As worn to Camp Bestival 2016!
Dear Mummy, we love dressing up as a family and any excuse whether it be a party, Halloween or a festival means that we are always on the look out for cool costumes.
We’d heard of Funidelia before and they are a major fancy dress brand from Spain but didn’t realise they did awesome fancy dress for delivery in the UK as well. Funidelia is the biggest fancy dress online shop in Europe! You are able to buy costumes, accessories and decorations online in a quick, easy and secure way. They supply costumes for adults, kids and babies and all kind of accessories, masks, wigs, party decoration and pet costumes. They’ve also got a massive catalog for Halloween and Festivals! Sounds good to us.
This year we attended Camp Bestival, a huge kids festival in the South of England and the theme was Space! What a perfect excuse to go all cosmic. My mummy and I opted to dress in all out silver lycra and go as cosmic girls, however my daddy wanted to go as something a bit more grand. He’s dressed up as Obi Wan before and is a massive Star Wars fan and was really impressed with Funidelia’s range of Star Wars costumes they have on their website, but he wanted something a bit more memorable and funny for Camp Bestival.
So he ending up wearing this cool Rocket Man Costume at £89.99. It’s part of the fab Ride On & Carry Me range of Fancy Dress Costumes that allows you to ride on into the party with Funidelia! It was one of the top costumes they sell and we weren’t disappointed.
It was a standard size and fit my daddy well, he’s 5ft 9in and a standard build. The idea of the costume is to have your legs placed where the rocket fire flames are and carry your fake legs out to the side. The fake legs are attached with very thin clear plastic cord to your cuffs so that when you walk the legs walk with you.
It definitely raise some smiles with a lot of people taking photos and high-fiving daddy. Unfortunately on the day he wore it out it was super hot and in the sunshine, he had clothes on underneath and was sweltering in the midday heat, so had to take it off to get a breather throughout the day.
We loved the attention to detail with the helmet and gloves and it was a very substantial costume, thick and heavy, not flimsy or thin material. The rocket flames for legs were brightly coloured and really eye-catching and it made a wonderful festival costume. The only area that daddy felt could have been better was somehow making the legs padded to make them look more real like the picture on the packaging!
My daddy had good fun in it chasing around kids and interacting with them. He even met Sara Cox in it while introducing our fancy dress competition entry (so we’re hoping that Camp Bestival have a photo of this!) All in all a lovely costume with real quality and we’d be happy to order from Funidelia again. The delivery was speedy and customer service email informative. They do costumes of all different shapes and sizes and budgets to match and hundreds of accessories too, so you don’t need to go anywhere else to finish off your costume.
The kids range looks pretty impressive too with top Disney costumes and loads of film related fancy dress from Paw Patrol to Harry Potter, Disney Princesses to Pirates. We can’t wait until Halloween and we’ll be definitely ordering some more from Funidelia. Why not pop over to see what they have in store.
Remember dispatch dates are next to the thumbnails of the pictures so you can see their stock levels too.
It’s now deciding what to dress up as next…decisions decisions….
Love Bella xx
