My favourite John Lewis Christmas Decorations

Dear mummy, social media is a buzz with rumours about the new John Lewis Christmas advert for 2016. Newspapers are hedging their bets and ‘tweeters’ are playing a guessing game and patiently waiting for the advert to air. We’re sat watching the X-Factor results eagerly anticipating the teaser for the new advert…with nothing, nada, zip. No one has seen anything yet. With Bonfire night behind us everyone is now looking forward to Christmas, slowly retail giants like House of Fraser, Tesco’s and TK Maxx are filtering through their Christmas offerings with all the trimmings.

There are only two adverts that we enjoying watching, the Sainsbury’s and John Lewis advert. Every year thousands of people join in with the running commentary and good, old-fashioned speculation in the lead up to the Christmas season. Which advert is the best to jerk an emotional response, to make people think or a plain sales pitch? The adverts have become as synonymous with the start of the festive period as Christmas light switch-ons or watching a cheesy pantomime.

Well, we’ve made a prediction of our own for the John Lewis advert and judging by their christmas decorations online, could it be another snowy woodland scene possibly with a fox, an owl or a squirrel?! Well, let’s find out and see how far off the mark we are. We always like joining in with the guessing game and if it’s not then these Christmas decorations would make a lovely touch to your tree this year.

Here’s our woodland themed Christmas this year perfect for families based on The Winter Fox Children’s book.

Have you seen the Christmas adverts yet? Which one is your favourite? Any heart-wrenching blockbusters this year or are they all upbeat and cheesy?

Love Bella xx

*update* a couple of days later we saw the advert online and we weren’t far off the mark! It involved a fox, a badger and #BusterTheDog. See, it was about animals in the end! 😉

  4. I love John Lewis Christmas adverts, really gets me in the mood for Christmas. Love these decs. My favourite are the squirrel and the chestnut #TwinklyTuesday

  5. I haven’t seen any of the adverts yet and have been purposely staying away from them as I think it is far too early. When the time comes though I will love to see them, especially the John Lewis one. x

  6. These are cute decorations! I want a blue theme this year due to it being Ben’s first Christmas, but then blue reminds me of my mums tacky 80s plastic tree with god awful decor. I suppose it’s a mums duty to give children cringy memories right? Haha

  7. At this time of year I always make sure I park in the John Lewis car park, to have an excuse to walk through the shop and look at all their decorations. They always do lovely decorations and I can resist them. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove x
