Dear mummy, it’s been a bit quiet on the blog lately. In fact our life couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s been crazy busy offline. We’ve been enjoying Halloween and Bonfire night, birthdays and family get togethers. Trips to London and gigs…it’s all been a bit, well, hectic.
A bloggers hectic life!
That’s the way we like it (occasionally) when we get swept away with all the hustle and bustle of family life….however something needs to give and on this occasion it was the blog. Sometimes it’s nice to take stock and document our days with piccys. So here’s our manic, crazy week in photos…enjoy!
Celebrating Halloween
We hosted a house party and invited all my friends and family along. My mummy enjoyed making all the party food and I liked helping her put up the spooky decorations. We all enjoyed carving pumpkins, dressing up and playing musical statues in our dinning room to the makeshift disco that daddy had created. My folks were also lucky enough to be invited to an adults fancy dress party too! That was a late night with (thankfully) minimal hangover damage!
Bring Me The Horizon at the O2 Arena
As part of the continued Halloween celebrations my mummy went to go and see one of her favourite bands play at the O2 Arena (and on a school night!). She was shattered afterward but really enjoyed seeing Bring Me The Horizon. She didn’t get back until after 2am as she lives outside London, but being Halloween it was fun seeing all the revellers dressed up on the tube…so where a bit worse for wear..even on a Monday night!
The week passed in a bit of a blur after that…My mummy won a certificate of recognition at work last week for a large project that she’s been working on and I’ve received a couple of stickers and medals from nursery celebrating the ‘big toddle’ and acts of kindness. There were a lot of early nights dozed up on night nurse and Vicks to keep colds at bay. We were really living for the weekend by the time Friday came!
Celebrating Bonfire Night
We celebrated a lovely little girls first birthday on Saturday the 5th November and we enjoyed seeing friends (I even made some new ones) afterwards we celebrated with a small garden display which was perfect for the toddlers and babies. Driving home afterwards we saw lots of professional displays over the city. I spent ages looking out of the bedroom windows spotting them and stayed up way past my bedtime!
The following day was my Daddy’s Birthday! We had a lazy Sunday, watched plenty of family films and sat in our PJs until midday! (Unheard of in this household) We then had an amazing feast at COAL in Basingstoke. My daddy even got his own firework on top of his ice cream!!
What have you all been up to lately? Burning the candle at both ends? We sure have and can’t wait for a rest! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
