Dear Mummy, last week we were very lucky to be invited along to learn some dance moves with Mickey and Mini Mouse. We headed up to a secret location in London to meet cast from Disney on Ice, learn moves from the show and have a party!
Stars dotted around the dance floor from Stacey Solomon, Diversity star Ashley Banjo and X Factor runners-up Reggie and Bollie, while DJ Sophie Ellis-Bextor spun the decks.
The venue was dressed like something from a winter wonderland and as we entered Elsa from Frozen was belting out ‘let it go’ from the speakers while guests milled around. I took the opportunity to have a little boogie while more people arrived for the Mouse Bounce Party. I had fun colouring in Disney on Ice sheets and making Mini Mouse party masks. Food was laid on by the hosts and included healthy snacks by Naturally perfect for a pre-schooler like me!
See our little video here!
The event was part of the Fit to Dance programme to encourage kids (and adults) to get fit and have fun at the same time. Whether it be through expressive dance, active storytelling or just tapping your feet, Disney are encouraging us all to get moving. Fit to Dance gives children a chance to share in the magical world of Disney On Ice by creating and sharing their choreography based on their own stories. We loved learning the Mouse Bounce moves and free-styling too!
So grab your Mickey ears and get ready for Disney On Ice this Spring as they celebrate 100 Years of Magic! Be charmed by a cast of over 50, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Disney Princesses, and Disney’s Frozen as they bring 14 stories and over 30 songs to life. It looks like a great show and we’d love to go.
Tickets are available now: www.disneytickets.co.uk and Disney on Ice tours London, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff plus many more! Hopefully I can make it to one of them 🙂
