#PrezzoLaFamiglia – Prezzo Eastleigh Review

“Now, here you are-a, the best-a spaghetti in-a town-a.”

Watch our short video to see what we got up to at Prezzo Eastleigh!

Dear Mummy, we had a lovely treat this week to celebrate and welcome you home from hospital with a hearty meal from Prezzo. We we’re kindly invited down to our local restaurant to review their new Prezzo LaFamiglia dish.

The Prezzo restaurant chain has more than 280 restaurants across the UK and we are lucky enough to have several near us! They have just launched the La Famiglia dishes, designed with sharing in mind. Forget daddy staring at the menu not having a clue what to pick and spending ages wasting the waitresses time –  this dish solves all the choosing problems. It makes sense to pick this sharing dish off the menu with sides and share as a family. This is a great way to bring families together over a joint bowl of pasta. The La Famiglia dishes take away all this stress for a family ordering and is perfect for a quick nip in for lunch and to have something packed with fresh goodness.

There are four tempting large pasta dishes to choose from including Spaghetti Bolognaise, Penne Arrabiatta, Spaghetti Carbonara and Penne Alla Rusticate. Today we are a family of three but we’ve also invited my grandparents along who have been a massive help for my mummy’s recovery and looking after me while she was in hospital. Our little treat to them is to replace our Sunday Roast with a trip to Prezzo.

Whenever we visit an Italian establishment we always think of Lady and the Tramp. One of my favourite movies. So of course we were going to pick the Spaghetti Bolognese as our La Famiglia dish.

It took no time to order and we also got some garlic bread and truffle oil infused fries to mop up the sauce along with some drinks to wash it all down. For £30 you can get a La Famiglia sharing bowl, two garlic breads, two sides and four desserts! To feed four people it actually makes great financial sense and is competitive with other fast food restaurants on the high street. What we like is that we can all sit down as a family and take the time to socialise with each other. My mummy liked the peppery rocket side dish and the tasty fries too.

Prezzo Review

When the large bowl of pasta came out it was bigger than my daddy’s head! A vat of pasta and yummy sauce. We started digging in but couldn’t resist recreating the famous Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene. The bowl satisfied all our needs with my daddy eating the most. Even though I don’t usually share my food with anyone I did on this occasion (see our video) and enjoyed piling the pasta on my mummy’s dish and even feeding her! It was great fun. My Grandparents had pizza which they also enjoyed immensely.

Even though we were amazed by the bowl of pasta we actually finished the lot! On this occasion our eyes weren’t bigger than our bellies. So we also treated ourselves to ice cream! The service in Prezzo Eastleigh was speedy and friendly and we had our meal in a lovely setting. In between courses I had fun colouring in the kids activity sheets with the free crayons provided, while my folks relaxed and chatted amongst each other.

We definitely recommend a family trip to Prezzo to have a big bowl of pasta and the La Famgila dishes are a great idea in this financially tight day and age. My folks were happy that I got some goodness inside me which then fuelled a trip to an Eastleigh soft play centre afterwards. It’s great that we had a lovely meal with no washing up, allowing us to play and enjoy our free time as a family.

So, what are you waiting for? There are three other variants of the dish we can’t wait to try! What would be your favourite one?

Love Bella x
