Dear Mummy, you can’t believe how much I’ve grown in the last year and you’ve been searching high and low for a car seat that was practical, stylish but most importantly safe. There are loads of places to find car seats, but driven by price (excuse the pun) we were determined to find a high spec car seat at a cost effective price and came across Kiddies Kingdom.
Kiddies Kingdom is an online kids store that sells everything parents would need for little ones, from cots to prams, car seats to high chairs. They also sell them at a competitive price which is a huge bonus for parents looking to save a few pennies. The price matching is a great feature – so if you see it cheaper online they’ll do you a deal. They sell many leading brands such as Maxi-Cosi, Jolie, Cosatto to Britax and Doona, some at a discounted or introductory offer. It’s now going to be our one-stop shop for kiddie equipment, we just wished we discovered this website sooner. Every time we visit the site there seems to be a sale on!
We’re reviewing the Cybex Solution X-Fix Group 2/3 Car Seat in Purple Rain, and it’s one I’ve picked out myself as I liked the colour and my folks liked the safety features. I feel like a big girl now that I’ve moved up a size and this car seat replaces the traditional booster seat. I’ve been riding around in it since the summer and absolutely love it.
The Solution X-Fix features a patented reclining headrest that prevents little ones heads from falling forward even when asleep. This is great for me as I tend to sleep on car journeys (see above) and my head is always flopping forward. The Solution X-Fix safely shifts the balance point of the child’s head slightly back and prevents it from falling forward when the child is asleep and the headrest includes three positions to ensure I am comfortable at all times. This is often referred to as the ‘safety zone’ in car seats and previous ones I have tried did not support my head enough when I slept.
It’s also reassuring that the Linear Side-impact Protection (L.S.P. System) systematically absorbs the force of a side-impact collision through the use of the shoulder and head protectors with the head actively led into a safe position on impact. It’s not nice to talk about car accidents, but they do happen and my folks want to make sure I’m protected at all times.
The car seat uses ISOFIX anchor points and they simply snap into place, alternatively they can be folded away and the vehicles 3-point belt can be used. The Solution X-Fix grows alongside your precious little one thanks to the 11-position height-adjustable head rest which means I’ll be in it for many years to come. The comfortable seat cushion helps me to snooze, while the reclining backrest adjusts to the vehicles seat. Did I mention I love the colour too?! My mummy does as well and wants to keep it looking good, so its nice that it has removable covers so she can wash it, after drink spills and muddy boots!

I love that it includes the speacial headrest! I hate to see little ones heads flopping all over the place while they are trying to nap.
I just came back from a trip to Sicily. And if you can believe it, didn’t see a single kid in a car seat the whole time. I can’t believe that with current technology that would be the case.

We are huge cybex fans!!! I still have the stroller from when my daughter was itty bitty!!! Definitely felt safe with her in that seat!
