Dear Mummy, I’m a massive Harry Potter fan having had the opportunity during the Covid Lockdown to watch all the films. More recently I’ve moved onto the books and I love nothing better than recreating scenes and pretending to be my favourite character, Hermione Granger. There’s a wealth of Harry Potter costumes and props online which makes dressing up a breeze for kids like me.
Last month I was celebrating going ‘Back to Hogwarts’ and was kindly sent some cool Harry Potter merchandise from the Wizarding World team to try out. I was over the moon! Check out my video to see!
I went back to school in September, not via the Hogwarts Express I’m afraid, but I’m loving the Harry Potter range of school supplies! From Harry Potter lunch boxes and matching water bottles to stationary sets and house backpacks. I’m ready to start a new term as Hermione! Thanks Hogwarts for sending me this trunk of goodies for school! You can find a lot of these school sets in George at ASDA.
But that’s not all! I received some awesome Harry Potter LEGO, cool Harry Potter Gryffindor robes from Rubies, a Harry Potter Hermione doll from Mattel and my own light-up wand from Paladone *purely for after school activities* I promise! I wouldn’t want to use magic in my muggle school!
With Halloween on the horizon I was sent a Dark Arts package to review, as October is the #DarkArts month in the Wizarding World calendar. It was great for encouraging my imagination I’m loving these Harry Potter items.
This is what I got in my Dark Arts package and would be perfect for a Harry Potter fan.
- Rubies Official Harry Potter Gryffindor Deluxe Robe Costume
- Death Eater A5 Premium Notebook
- Paladone Deathly Hallows #007 Icons Light
- Dark Mark Tattoo Pendant Choker
- Harry Potter Neon Nagini Kids’ T-Shirt
- Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Horcrux Ring
- WOW! Stuff Dumbledore Light Painting Wand
I love visiting the Paladone website for cool, quirky movie inspired gifts and they produce some great lights! This Deathly Hallows Light would make a great addition to any kids (and adults) bedroom, and doubles up as a night light. Great for growing Witches and Wizards, I have enjoyed revisiting the world of Harry Potter to remind myself how each of the items plays its part in bringing the world of Hogwarts to life.
I’m really into the official Harry Potter Movie inspired props and jewellery. Thanks to my Mummy and Daddy, oh and a trip to Gringotts bank to collect some of my pocket money, all of these items can join my existing collection which includes Dobby and Hermione’s wand. The Carat Shop produce some really cool movie imitation props, like this Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Horcrux Ring and Dark Arts necklace below. They are so many great gifts which would make wicked stocking fillers this Christmas but be careful not to get too carried away with Dumbledore’s Light Painting Wand (The Elder Wand) as you never know if a certain person who cannot be named might want it back!
But the Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak is my favourite! It’s an ornate cloak with a lining made from a ‘green screen’ coloured fabric. When you team it with a smartphone… that’s when the magic happens! Use the free WOW Stuff app and the supplied tripod and you can film yourself disappear under your cloak, just like Harry and his friends do in the movies.
You can find all these Dark Arts Harry Potter products in one place! Visit the Wizarding World Amazon shop to discover gifts for Wizards and Muggles. So what do you think of my Harry Potter goodies? Does anything catch your eye?
