Jack and the Beanstalk at Mayflower Theatre

Fee-fi-fo-FUN! I smell the start of a Panto run… We attended the press night of Jack and the Beanstalk @mayflower_theatre and it was A.MAZ.ING!

Featuring a star-studded cast, an EPIC production and hosted in a beautiful theatre – it really was magic for the whole family.

We watched street dance sensations, Ashley Banjo & Diversity, and award-winning actor and comedian, Kev Orkian on stage and they were brilliant! 🤩 In fact this pantomime reached new heights – it was one of the best we’ve EVER seen!

It’s not often you get smile-ache, and we were grinning from ear to ear throughout the performance. The jokes were perfectly timed and @realkevorkian is a serious comedic talent. The dancing was phenomenal, not just from @diversity_official but the rest of the ensemble too and it was a spectacular show!

If the dancing wasn’t enough, the singing was sensational too. West End stars Matt Rixon as Dame Trot, Anne Smith as Mrs Blunderbore, Jacqueline Hughes as The Spirit of the Beans, and Lauren Hampton as Jill really brought the professionalism which made the cast all round brilliant to watch.

Various scenes offered plenty of opportunity for laugh-out-loud moments, including the dance-offs, an ever-increasingly long tongue twister and a hodgepodge of music clips. 🤩 Of course one of my highlights was watching @realkevorkian get down with the kids and join in some TikTok dances (he’s actually really good 🤫)

Don’t get me started about the GIANT beanstalk that appeared and reached the top of the auditorium 😳 even more fantastic was that Ashley Banjo climbed it! 👏 Plus the huge Giants that appeared, props to the props teams!
