Top childrenswear picks from BHS

Top childrenswear picks from BHS AW/15 (British Home Stores).

Dear mummy, when you were a child you used to shop in here all the time with Grandma. You remember a brand called Tammy Girl and used to love dragging your folks into the store.

Times have changed and now the market is saturated with childrenswear brands and highstreet fashion shops with kids departments. H&M Kids, Zara Kids, NEXT Kids, M&S Kids to name a few.

But where has that left BHS? Out in the cold? We have a massive BHS in Festival Place Shopping Centre in Basingstoke and are surprised at the size of the unit. Last week we took a trip into BHS and we were really surprised at the selection of childrenswear it had on offer. From Mini B Baby to #TammyGirl there were lots of sizes, lots of sale items and a real bargains to be found. So next time we won’t write off BHS.

Here’s the top picks we found online.

    1. Tammy Girl in the 80’s and early 90’s was great! My mummy used to get her neon cycling shorts in there! lol x She can’t remember where else she shopped! Miss Selfridges maybe or Bay Trading… The clothes never fit her probably she looked a bit of a mess in her teens…

  1. I love the leggings and the bow top, they are very cute.
I must admit I don’t shop much in BHS but I should check it out, those bits are very cute

  2. Ooh a new logo for BHS – I missed that one! Yes BHS often gets forgotten, I hope it does survive as it’s so nice to have a brand from our childhood still around (crying cos I miss Woolworths – wah!) Now let me guess which is your favourite out of these – No.3 perhaps 😉 Sabrina xx #TT_Thursday #weekendministyle

  3. Wow! BHS have upped their game! I’ve not been in for ages and think I’ve only ever looked at the childrenswear once. I will be going in more often from now on after seeing all these fab little picks. Loving all the monochrome and those little shoes are awesome. Absolutely loving the triangle leggings and unicorn jumper! Thanks for sharing and thanks so much for linking up with us. Hope you had a great weekend 🙂 #weekendministyle

  4. Despite it being for boys I’ve bought that dinosaur top for Clem. I always pop into our local BHS because it has a dorothy perkins section in it, so I go and check out the kids stuff some times. They do have some great stuff in.

  5. We never look in BHS, but may start as if their clothes for older children as nice as these, there should be something the Tubblet will like. Thank you for the reminder.
