Dear mummy, we’ve just come back from our holidays in Devon. While we were there the weather was a bit hit and miss. With planned trips to the seaside and the countryside my folks had packed multiple sets of clothes from beachwear to wet weather gear. Some days we had bright sunshine then heavy downpours so a lot of the time we had to make some quick changes especially from the beach to the promenades and visa versa when the sun started to shine again.
We were thankful for these Teva Toddler Psyclone 4 Sandals. As they were really easy to whip off and quickly change into wellies. I even found them easy to put on and get off myself!
I liked the ability to completely open the top of the shoes making it easy to get my wiggly foot in and out of. Many parents will know that changing kids shoes under pressure can be a bit stressful, so these sandals helped combat that.
We’d never heard of this brand before but were suitably impressed by the quality of them. I was eager to get the sandals out of their box in our caravan and excited that they were my holiday shoes! The branding is understated and minimalistic on the packaging and the embroidery.
I’m a girly girl so love pink and this shade is like a cool fuchsia pink. I loved the colour and the attention to detail of the stitching as it was neat and reinforced. The pink glitter velcro strap with embroidered detail was a nice touch.
As the sandals are made of a Neoprene upper they are great for water activities as they dry quickly. They also have a soft lycra lining so won’t chafe feet, making them great for a full day of toddler adventures. The sole is lightweight rubber, VERY spongy and the footbed is contoured for comfort. They reminded me of Crocs but much more stylish! While on holiday I wore them on coastal walks, through the grass, in the sea and they dried off quickly and were comfortable to walk in.
I wore the toddler size 8, (26) which is my size however the Teva sizes seem wide fitting so they were a bit big for me, the straps kept my feet in but the soles were a bit big so my folks had to keep an eye on me so I didn’t trip over my own feet. Even then they still didn’t hurt me.
We’d recommend that if you are between sizes go for the smaller. The velcro was super strong which was good as they didn’t flap open even with sand on them.
These sandals are a lovely design and I prefer the wider upper panel compared to smaller velcro straps of similar sandal brands. Next time we will get a smaller size and hopefully I can make more use of them over the summer. Can’t wait to grow into them! At £25 they are a bargin!
My mummy has her eye on the funky adult sandals too! Festival season is coming up…
Love Bella x
