Dear mummy, we’re eager to see the new Finding Dory film from Disney Pixar. My folks are massive Finding Nemo fans and have watched it over and over again since it was first released. Finding Nemo won the 2003 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature; the film was nominated for three additional Oscars too! (Best Writing, Original Screenplay; Best Music, Original Score; Best Sound Editing).
16 years later the sequel to that highly popular film has been released focusing on the side-kick Dory. She actually made the film for my folks being the ever forgetful fish who tried to help Nemo’s dad try to find his son across a vast ocean. “Finding Dory” takes place about a year after the first film, and features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. The story welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life. One year after reuniting Nemo with his father Marlin, Dory has become a helping hand in raising Nemo. One day, while with Nemo’s class, Dory remembers that she has a family. She longs to find her parents, though she finds it hard to rely on her short-term memory loss. The only thing she remembers is that they lived at the Jewel of Morro Bay. Marlin and Nemo accompany Dory in her quest.
Ellen DeGeneres is the voice of the friendly but forgetful blue tang fish. When Dory said “just keep swimming” in 2003’s Oscar-winning film “Finding Nemo,” she could not have imagined what was in store for her (not that she could remember) an all-new big-screen adventure diving into theatres this month in the UK.
It was about time she had her own feature-length film! In preparation for the movie release Epson UK and Disney have teamed up to create some fab crafting downloads to keep the kids amused over the school holidays. Using their brand new printer a EcoTank we watched demonstrations and printed off crafting projects at a bloggers event we attended last week.
On the day, we were helped by a super craft blogger called Alice from More Than Toast and enjoyed refreshments and light foods. We have to admit, it was one of the most professional blog events we’ve ever been too. Everything flowed easy on the day and Epson UK gave an informative talk about their new EcoTank printer and how it could benefit a family like ours.
Say goodbye to cartridges with Epson
No need for ink cartridges, 2 years of ink included and ultra-low-cost printing, EcoTank printers are the most economical yet!
The EcoTank is unlike anything we’ve seen before it has advanced features like duplex printing, A3 printing, SD card slots, faxing, scanning, Wi-Fi, and LCD screens. Perfect for my mummy who loves printing straight from social media. But thats not just the main draw! With two years’ worth of ink included in the box and no hidden costs, Epson’s new EcoTank series of printers break new ground with their ultra-low cost per page and ease of use. The new design of refillable ink tanks that does away with the need for ink cartridges and is great for low-cost printing. Epson also uses Micro Piezo technology for clear, sharp and precise printing. The EcoTank range starts from £199 and we think it sounds like a good investment and long-term could save our family on ink cartridges, which in some instances are more expensive than entry model printers these days!
We really enjoyed the talk from Disney too about the Finding Dory film and it was a great introduction to the event. It’s such a great partnership with craft projects and inspiration from Disney teaming up with Epson who can make their designs become a reality. As part of their collaboration you can win 1 of 200 £50 Disney Store gift cards when you buy an EcoTank Printer. Even better, all purchases receive a 10% discount voucher for the Disney store for use online which sounds fabulous. Full terms and conditions apply and can be found here.
We’re looking forward to recreating #PrintingDory projects at home over the summer holidays and can’t wait to road test this eco-freindly printer. Do you fancy making this little fella called Hank from the new movies? Download and print him here with instructions. We gotta admit he was our favourite from the event. Or why not test your crafting skill and make Dory here with instructions. This little video might help too!
During the event Epson created 4 crafting projects together with Disney in the theme of the Finding Dory movie which was perfect to print with their EcoTank printers. My mummy loved making Hank the octopus and she was really impressed with the ink coverage on the card and how vibrant the colour looked.
The EcoTank is a perfect printer for a busy family like ours, it looks smart and compact and great for quick crafting projects and printing out colouring in pages downloaded from the internet.
My mummy is a full-time graphic designer, so she knows a lot about printers. She uses them every day and knows the importance of ink calibration and durability. So is eager to test a machine that claims the ink life lasts up to 2 years!!
Neil Wilson, business manager at Epson UK says: “There are no surprises with these new EcoTank printers. The large amount of ink included with each model means that they will need little attention for the first two years, by which time users will have fallen for their high-capacity and ultra-low cost printing, saving them an average of 70% of their printing costs”.
After the event we even got to browse the Disney UK Flagship store and saw all the fab #FindingDory merchandise! Why not follower the #PrintingDory hashtag to find more Disney inspiration with Epson this summer to keep the kids amused?
I can’t wait to share our crafting projects printed with the new EcoTank over the summer holidays with you all!
Love Bella xx
Here’s our gallery of the day.
