Mickey and the Roadster Racers Talking Toolbelt & Pit Crew Tool Box Review

Dear Mummy, I’m a massive fan of Disney Junior and a new TV programme which has really captured my attention is Mickey and the Roadster Racers! It features characters that I’m already familiar with from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. The first episode aired in January 2017 and I’ve been tuning in ever since.

Mickey and the Roadster Racers

My mummy remembers the history of Mickey Mouse when he first appeared on a steamboat in one of his first animated shorts back in the 1920s, but his mode of transportation has been upgraded to a roadster in this series. Mickey and his friends participate in high-speed races in their hometown, Hot Dog Hills, and around the world in vehicles that can transform. It’s a bit like wacky races which my mummy remembers and we love that the cars can transform and the races are out of this world!

The new range of toys!

The familiar names joining Mickey on the track are Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Pluto. Off the track, Minnie and Daisy are busy running a business with which they solve problems for people in need called the Happy Helpers and the new toy range reflects this. As part of #MickeyandMinnieToys twitter party on the 10th August at 1pm we have been sent some great toys to review and play with.

Mickey and the Roadster Racers Talking Tool belt – £24.99

It’s a fairly substantial toy and has lots of components. The Talking Tool Belt inspired by Disney Junior’s Mickey and the Roadster Racers features the same branding from the show in bright fun colours. I enjoy pressing the button on the tool belt to hear pit crew sound effects and fun phrases from Mickey Mouse!

The set includes a manual spinning impact wrench with interchangeable socket and screw bit, tire air pressure gauge, play motor oil bottle and funnel, wrench, and screws. The racer themed tool belt has handy loops, a storage pouch, and holster to hold all of the tools for on-the-go play. The tool belt is a good size so will certainly last in terms of child growth. I have it on the tightest setting at the minute and I’m only 4 years old. No repair is too big for the Mickey and the Roadster Racers Tool Belt! I feel that I can conqueror the world!

I had great fun playing with this tool belt and ditched my dolls to play with my daddy’s metal Matchbox cars and fix them using the tools off the belt. We made a play den and pretended it was a car mechanics garage and I spent ages fixing things. I liked pressing the button on the tool belt to hear Mickey Mouse phrases, it did drive my mummy a bit crazy though! We were impressed that it featured a kid-powered spinning impact wrench with interchangeable socket and screw bit and that it stored away easily as all the tools fitted nicely back into the pouches on the belt.

The attention to detail is good and the plastic is sturdy and well made. It’s for children ages 3+ because of the loose parts and I can see me and my friends using this toy a lot in the future on our play dates. The boys might need to wrestle it off me! 😉

Mickey Roadster Racers Pit Crew Tool Box – £14.99

I really liked the tool box too and its a much smaller (and lighter) size of my daddy’s tool box which I’m not allowed to touch. It comes with an array of bolts and wrenches to play with and I love using my imagination and pretending to fix things…and break things! It’s a really nifty size and we like the primary colours used in the design as it’s not too boyish.

The belt and toolbox are part of the new Mickey and Minnie Toy range from Flair. You can get them in all good toy shops and online.

So what do you think of these toys? Perfect for this little car mechanic, even my daddy was impressed with the detail. The mix of Disney, Mickey Mouse and Cars takes pole position in this household!

Mickey Roadster Racers Musical Microphone – £6.99

The Roadster Racer microphone features the Mickey and the Roadster Racers theme song. Its pretty loud and got me dancing to the beat. I loved that the lights flash to the music and change from blue to red. It’s a great size for little hands and ideal for kids that like to be in the limelight.

  1. These looks like great toys for a child who loves Mickey and Minnie! I know I used to when I was little. The Twitter party sounds like it’s gonna be a lot of fun!

  2. Ah, the nostalgia of Mickey Mouse! It’s funny how most people nowadays know Mickey- as he is such a timeless character, I do have to admit to find the newer animations quite scary sometimes! lol

  3. Oooh my nephew would go absolutely mental for this tool kit, anything to do with Mickey Mouse my nephew is on it. I am truly impressed by this talking tool kit.

  4. I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of loving Disney. I love that you made a play den and turned it into a car mechanics, good to hear the toys are so much fun

  5. Your post will have me singing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse tune all night now! Once heard, never forgotten. I like that these toys are appealing to your daughter too – My youngest would love her own tool belt!
