Minnie’s Happy Helpers Bowtique Cash Register & Shopping Basket Review

Dear Mummy, I’m a massive fan of Disney Junior and a new TV programme which has really captured my attention is Mickey and the Roadster Racers! It features characters that I’m already familiar with from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. Mickey and his friends participate in high-speed races in their hometown, Hot Dog Hills, and around the world in vehicles that can transform. It’s a bit like wacky races. The first episode aired in January 2017 and I’ve been tuning in ever since.

The familiar names joining Mickey on the track are Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Pluto. Off the track, Minnie and Daisy are busy running a business with which they solve problems for people in need called the Happy Helpers and the new toy range reflects this. We’ve been sent some new toys from the show.

Happy Helpers Bowtique Cash Register -£17.99

We’re taking a trip to the shops with the next couple of items that we are reviewing. As with the rest of the Happy Helper’s range, the Bowtique Cash Register is very pink. Maybe a bit too pink for my mummy but I absolutely love the sticky sweet colour.

Happy Helpers Bowtique Cash Register

All the buttons make realistic cashier noises and if you press the large bow button you can hear Minnie’s phrases from the show. You can turn the blue key and it opens the cash drawer and we liked the colourful paper money and silver coins included in the pack.

The drawer opens easily and you can swipe the credit card through the machine which makes a supermarket beep. The pink scanner which slots into the register isn’t connected with cord and doesn’t make a noise and has been lost several times already which is a shame. It takes 2 batteries which are included in the box.

The real working calculator is good along with the working cash drawer and I have fun taking money and opening and closing the drawer. The pretend credit card also looks realistic and due to the small parts (the coins) is recommended for ages 3+ with batteries included in the box.

The Bowtastic Shopping Basket Set which goes with the Bowtique cash register is the same pink. It comes with a selection of play food and a mixture of plastic canned food and cartons. There are pieces of food of which can be ‘cut’ in half like the pie, loaf, cake and apple which I enjoying cutting with the plastic knife included. We love that this shopping basket is pink and not a boring colour.

Because of the loose parts it’s again suitable for ages 3 and above. It also has a shopping list and we’ve already had hours of fun acting out trips to the super market taking turns to be the shopper and the cashier. So it’s definitely worth the investment to buy them together as a set!

  1. My daughter isn’t much into the Disney channel (but she of course loves all their movies), but I’m sure she would love to have those toys too 🙂

  2. Cash registers and pretend foods were some of my favourite toys growing up, so I would have loved both of these!

  3. Such lovely toys Bella, I imagine they have been great fun to play with. Always lovely to have toys that are themed to something you like to watch or are familiar with. I think you’ll have hours of fun with these fab things.

  4. Sounds like you’ve really loved playing with it Bella! When I was a little girl I used to have a toy till and a shopping basket and loads of groceries – make believe toys are so much fun x

  5. This is awesome! Such a cool little toy that I think my little princess would absolutely love, until she pulls it apart, haha.

  7. Aww the Minnie Mouse shopping basket looks really cute. My nanny children love pretend play at the moment playing shops. This shopping basket would be a lovely addition.
