Cats Vs. Pickles was born from an idea based on viral videos on YouTube: Cats are naturally afraid of pickles (or cucumbers)! Have you seen these videos? It’s totally an internet trend. Cats really are scared of these green long vegetables! The theory is that cats might be mistaking pickles for snakes, but that wouldn’t be as fun as positing the idea that pickles just absolutely love cats and wish that the feline crowd would love them back. That’s the idea behind this toy brand.
Each Cats Vs. Pickles character has a special name tag with their name and bio, along with a QR code for a free Cats vs Pickles game download for extended play. There are 44 Cat characters to collect and 4 Pickles in Wave 1! Cats Vs. Pickles are small, bean-filled plush with a nice weight to them like Beanie Babies. Each character has a name and a distinct personality displayed on their tag. There are foodie cats, sweet cats, scary cats, fishy cats, cats with glasses and cats for school to collect. With a series of fun animated videos on YouTube as well there’s lots of opportunity to pretend play!

They are so adorable and have endless play value and great to snuggle with. They make a great gift that’s not tailored to a specific audience and even my folks like them! I think they are super cool and love the colourful designs and embroidered details and they are definitely gonna be a hit here in the UK. They deliver a sense of fun during these uncertain times and we could all do with a bit of silliness right now.
