Bella’s Bluebells

Dear Mummy, we wandered down to the woods again at Micheldever. An enchanting wood which is renowned for its bluebells. The last of the Bluebells are dying and withering beneath our feet. I climb trees with my daddy and enjoy running round in the open space pointing at objects shouting “What’s that?!?”

Mummy and I hunt for the Gruffalo… making sure we’re quiet while stalking him with our walking sticks!

We built a den…*actually it was already built* We embellish it with leaves and moss.

We played in the leaves, it seems very autumnal today and not Spring-like at all.

Sunlight filtered through the trees casting shadows. We lay and looked up at the sky. The gentle hum of motorway traffic from the nearby M3. We are on the fringes of the hustle and bustle. We are in a different world.

Bluebells hanging down from their stems
No metal is there
But still you hear the ringing

Hope you enjoyed our snapshot!

  1. We also hunt for the Guffalo when we go into the woods! And I see you like Bluebells and dens just like us 🙂 Such lovely photos. I don’t think you were very far from us at all last weekend! #CountryKids

  2. Whenever we see a forest we always look for the gruffalo but he never wants to be found! Lovely photos, gutted we didn’t get the chance to see the bluebells this year xx
