Dear Mummy, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite films, so much so that I dress up as Belle on a regular basis. I love roses and we visit the gardens every year at Mottisfont, UK to look at them. I’m totally mesmerised at their beauty, but all too often they wither and die. I hate seeing roses wilt and lose their petals! Recently we were approached by a company called The Eternity Rose. Intrigued by the concept of an everlasting rose we wanted to see what it looked like in the flesh.
The Eternity Rose Co. has found a way of preserving a real rose, that will always remain in perfect condition and never wilt or diminish. Eternity Roses are plucked in their prime and then given a clear glaze, layers of copper and dozens of micro thin layers of pure 24k gold, so the finished product is protected and long-lasting, whilst still maintaining the delicate beauty of a rose. Overall, this process takes about 3 months to complete!
When you look closely, you can see the leaves are genuine rose leaves, as are the petals and the stem. The finish is like a mirror and we’re amazed at how light and delicate the rose is while remaining hard-wearing. This rose could end up being passed down through the generations of our family members.
It reminds me of the rose from the film Beauty and the Beast and we could imagine it displayed in a glass dome. It won’t fall apart, drop it’s petals and you can add it to an everlasting bouquet for an impressive arrangement. It would make a great gift or conversation piece.
It comes presented in a stitched leather box with navy interior where the rose is kept safe and secure. The rose also comes with a certificate of authenticity to confirm that each rose is an individual piece of art. The Eternity Rose is $169 which roughly translates to around the £122 mark. The box is nice but we would have loved to see it presented in a clear dome too.
There are many different variations on their website from a fully metal dipped rose in 24k gold, silver or platinum to beautifully glazed roses in colours and trims. There’s also a great range of jewellery including pendants, earrings and sets with a rose theme.
This would make a lovely gift for an anniversary, birthday, Valentine’s Day or even for Mother’s Day and I’ve just presented one to my mummy on our little vlog. Please check it out above x
