Hi everyone! My name is Dawn and I’m the mastermind behind Dear Mummy Blog. Yes, that’s me in the geeky black glasses next to the star of the show Bella. I’m heading up to Manchester for the first time to attend the #BlogOnX Manchester conference. It’s only my sixth blogging event that I’ve attended and there’s been some shockers (but that’s another story). Anywho, I’ve always had a great experience with the BlogOn crew and can’t wait to meet you all.
Please if you see me stop and have a chat, I’m not usually the first to break the ice with nerves and all that. The hotel is booked so there’s no backing out now! With #BlogOnX Manchester under a month away. I’m participating in the ‘introduce yourself’ linky intended to help attendees get to know each other. So without further ado, here’s my answers to the below questions.
What’s your favourite pizza topping?
Hawaiian of course, anything that mixes your five a day and fast food is a winner with me.
You can have dinner with any three guests dead or alive – who do you choose and why?
I’d like to have dinner with my dad who passed away in 2007, just because there’s so much to catch up on. As a massive sci-fi fan I’d have to invite James Cameron and Gene Roddenberry too.
Up to now what would you consider being your biggest life achievement?
My biggest life achievement was having Bella and working through a tough time after a failed business.
If you woke up tomorrow as a character from any Disney film or book who would you be and why?
I’d be the evil queen, just because she’s kinda cool from the ABC series ‘Once Upon a Time’
What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
Take my ear plugs out! ….oh and then check my phone *shock horror*
If you won the lottery what would be the very first thing you would buy and why?
I’d buy myself some flowers, sounds trivial but fresh flowers is a real luxury for me.
What is your favourite quote from a movie?
Roads? Where we’re going we don’t need roads.
If you were a superhero what would your super power be?
The power to time travel.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Don’t hold onto bitterness, as it will only consume you.
Which emoji do you use the most?
The hysterical laughing one. I’m always laughing at myself.
If you could go back in time and tell yourself anything what would it be?
Don’t be hoodwinked or razzle-dazzled. Everything is an illusion. Trust your gut.
What do you currently have set as the wallpaper on your phone?
Standard sunset.
If you could do anything in the world as a legitimate job what would you do?
Be a personal shopper for the rich and famous.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
Northern Ireland, it always feels like home.
So, I hope this kinda sums me up, I’m a geeky sci-fi fan with a craving for Hawaiian pizza and would love to time travel and spend lots of money that isn’t mine.

Ahhh amazing I went to Blog On Manchester a couple of years ago it was fantastic. I’m going to Flea Retreat this year so won’t be making it but can’t wait to hear all about it from you have a fab time hun! x

I went to Blog On when it came to Cardiff and sadly it’s never come back which is a real shame. I’m intrigued – I’m an ear plug wearer too – why do you wear yours?

It sounds like fun! I’m always so nervous at blogging conferences and always worry about them beforehand, but always come away so happy that I went. I’m a fan of Hawaiian pizza too!
I’d love to be going to BlogOn. And I love these “get to know me” posts. Nice to find a fellow mum who sleeps with ear plugs in. Still doesn’t prevent hubby and having to sleep. In separate rooms though!
