Dear Mummy, I’m a massive fan of Schleich figurines and have loads of different animals that I play with. Schleich have been around since 1935 so clearly their hand-painted figures have stood the test of time!

Schleich have now expanded beyond animals into dinosaurs, dragons and other mythical creatures. One of my favourite ranges is Bayala – a magical world of fantasy unicorns, elves, fairies, mermaids and Pegasus’.

Since January the Bayala® universe now includes purple magic horses. These figures are gorgeous and I’m fascinated with the details in the paintwork and the fine feathered textures. They look so realistic they could almost come alive!

Being only six I’m really into unicorns and anything super sparkly always catches my eye. So when they arrived in the post I was overjoyed! I love immersing myself in make-believe and these toys really help nurture that. They are sturdy and make great ornaments for my room when not being played with. I love the gothic colour of these as well which makes a change from the typical pinks, whites and rainbows of unicorns.

These are a welcomed addition to my growing collection of mythical creatures. In fact, I have so many Schleich horses and unicorns that I need a stable to put them all in! I’ve already assigned them as my night creatures due to their star and moon markings. Of course with my imagination they just happen to be dark and sinister compared to the rest of my collection… see my video below.

I adore these new purple magic horses and I was sent a Moon Unicorn Stallion, a Star Pegasus Mare and a cute Shooting Star Foal. They are beautifully crafted and hand-painted in different purple tones with accurate, lifelike details. The glitter and paintwork doesn’t come off on my hands as I play with them and the unicorn horns and wings aren’t flimsy either which is reassuring for my mummy, as I really like to throw them around in the air (pretend flying) while playing.

Each one has a different coloured mane and tuffs on their legs and I can’t wait to use them for hours of fairytale imaginative play. They are decorated with glitter elements and rhinestones too.
