Having fun with Plasticine #CreativePlayWithFlair

Dear Mummy, I love crafting and anything to do with making things. It’s the perfect way to keep me occupied on rainy days. I was kindly sent some cool Plasticine sets from Flair_GP to play with.

Plasticine is the original modelling clay and a timeless classic that conjures up all sorts of childhood memories for my folks. I couldn’t wait to get tucked into all these goodies!

Over the course of a rainy afternoon I created my own plasticine figures and even experiemented with making my own Stop Motion film using the Plasticine Movie Maker Set. Check out my video below to see my movie!

My folks have been champions of Plasticine for as long as I can remember as it’s a lot more durable and long lasting because it doesn’t dry out and go rock solid. No matter how hard I try, crafting activities end up getting left out or forgotten about so it’s nice to know it can be used over and over again. I’m the worse for leaving crafting bits and messy play around the house.

Plasticine is suitable for children aged 5 years+ and a great way to keep little ones occupied without too much mess. It rolls out easily and smells much nicer than my folks remember. The colours are bright and vibrant and doesn’t come off on my hands and is easy to manipulate unlike other modelling materials.

Check out my video above to see the bundle of goodies that I played with! There’s so many options available to suit everyones budgets when it come to Plasticine.

Plasticine FunTubulous

I love the FunTubulous pot which contains a range of 8 jumbo coloured Plasticine sticks and a small selection of tools to shape and create with. The fact that you can pack it all away in it’s tub is a major bonus for my mummy.

Plasticine Toolz Box

The Plasticine Tool Box includes everything you need to help you make your very own Plasticine models. 7 colours of Plasticine, 5 shaped cutters, 1 modelling tool and 1 roller which are stored in a sturdy box. The tool box comes with carry handle for modelling on the move! You can then store all your Plasticine material in your tool box. Suitable for ages 5 and above.

Plasticine Basix

Young modellers will have hours of fun with the BaSix pack. This pack contains 6 Plasticine sticks to get you started! Also comes with ideas sheet to help you decide what models to make. Suitable for ages 5 and above. Plasticine is great for young hands to make fun shapes and I enjoyed making lots of animals.

Plasticine Colour Max

I loved the colour range in the Colour Max pack. This pack contains 24 Plasticine sticks to get you started! Also comes with ideas sheet to help you decide what models to make.

Plasticine Movie Maker Studio

This was my favourite item in the collection. The Plasticine Movie Maker Studio makes your creations come to life! Simply make a Plasticine creation, set the scene and download a free app! Lights, camera, action! Easily animate your own movies! Suitable for ages 5+. It comes with a movie stage, changeable scenes, props, camera stand, idea guide and more! (Box includes 12 x Plasticine Slabs, 1 x Fold Out Movie Stage, 2 x Background Scenes, 2 x Double sided Movie Props Sheets, 1 x Modelling tool, 1 x Camera Stand, 1 x Instruction Sheet)

I had so much playing with all this Plasticine! Its great value for money and a little goes a long way. They cover off all the primary colours plus green, white and black. Which means your colour combinations are limitless. I love that it teaches me how to mix colour combinations and develops my fine motor skills.

Anything that encourages imaginative play is great for me and I enjoyed making my models and taking my play one step further by making a movie to share with my family and friends. I can’t wait to create more Stop Mo films! You can find Plasticine at Smyths Toys Superstores and on Amazon.

Love Bella x

Disclosure: We were kindly sent this Plasticine bundle to review. All thoughts, Stop Mo footage and little creations are our own.

  1. Oh wow, having the back board and incorporating technology is such a fun idea! I am sure ours would love this.

  2. I used to love playing with plasticine when I was a kid. Of course, back then it was just one coloured block and you had to have quite the imagination to build things from it. It’s so nice to see how this childhood favourite has evolved over the years, now providing a proper movie set for the creations 🙂

  3. The movie maker studio looks so cool, so creative. I used to love plasticine when I was a kid, making whatever I could out of it x
