Dear Mummy, this week we celebrated Environmental Day and I was kindly sent an ‘I Care Bear’ from Basic Fun UK. This wonderful Care Bear reminds me of how important it is to take care of the Earth.
I’m reflecting on my impact on the planet and what I can do to bring about positive change by making better choices at home. From turning vampire devices off standby, using less water and electricity and reducing waste by reusing, starting at home can help. I’m being inspired by ‘I Care Bear’ to take care of our planet and to encourage those around me to do more.

I’m watching nature documentaries with my Care Bears and writing down a list of what I can do at a grassroots level to help. Next week I’m going to walk to school more and use my devices less, turn lights and taps off when not in use.

Our planet is facing multiple crises — from climate change to biodiversity loss and an increase in carbon emissions, so anything we can do to help is not in vain! Let’s us know what you are doing to help fight climate change.

Have you seen ‘I Care Bear’ yet? He comes in a box made from 100% recycled paper printed in eco-friendly soybean ink and my new Care Bear is made with recycled materials! How cool is that! He’s a nature-loving bear and I can’t wait to have more outdoor adventures with him! He’s now available in Smyths Toys Superstores and perfect for little environmentalists.

I love his gorgeous bluey green colours and he’s soft and huggable. He has a green heart nose and embroidered green hearts on both the bottoms of his feet. He has a gorgeous embroidered rainbow badge on his tummy with one end representing a heart and the other end the Earth. I’m wearing my new Care Bears socks from Swaggr made from sustainable materials just like my new friend.
I think he’s adorable.
