Dear Mummy, phew it’s been another hectic weekend. We’ve been trying to dodge the rain and chase the sun around Hampshire.
On Saturday my mummy took a day for R&R to recharge her batteries after a stressful week at work while my Daddy took me to a local soft play centre. The weather was awful so there was no chance we were exploring that day.
However, on Sunday we went to see the Grandparents in Hayling Island and enjoyed a fabulous lunch at the Ferryboat Inn. It was very relaxed and the food was scrummy and served up very fast 🙂 we would definitely recommend this place to families.
My mummy had mussels and I had fish and chips! She also had apple crumble which was to die for. The Grandparents and Daddy had Hunters Chicken, burgers and chocolate cake…not all at the same time though!
The Ferryboat Inn was perfectly positioned right on the tip of the peninsular of Hayling Island. While we were waiting for our food to arrive we went outside to check out the view and watch the boats. While we were down on the pebble beach a local fisherman pointed out a seal that was sunbathing on the pontoon….not something you see everyday! We couldn’t believe our eyes!
On Monday we visited Legoland for the very first time for their Star Wars event that was running over the bank holiday weekend. It was Star Wars Day (May the 4th) and we were excited to see all the Lego displays and costumed characters. We were so lucky with the weather too, it was bright and sunny and we spent a good 6 hours down there!
We watched the Star Wars Parade and loved playing in the Duplo Village, we watched the young Jedi’s practice on the lawn and visited the Ewoks in the forest and visited the official Star Wars Lego exhibition.
We hope you like our snapshot of our weekend.
Love Bella x
