Dear Mummy, last week you visited Pizza Express in Festival Place for the South East Blog Circle Meet-Up.
It was an event organised by the lovely Jenny at Ramblings for a Jaffa Cat who also looks after the local bloggers Facebook group and Twitter account @SEBlogCircle.
SE Blog Circle is a great social network of local bloggers from the whole South East who chat online and meet up and exchange ideas, network and have a good old natter about blogging. We live in Basingstoke so it’s really handy for my mummy to hook up with other local bloggers and the past couple of events have been held in the Festival Place shopping centre.
The meet up was a fairly low-key affair with around 10 bloggers catching up over pizza and pasta, watching demos from LUSH, Basingstoke and Bee Good, Hook.
It was a really good venue, my mummy was upstairs and enjoyed views across Festival Place Square. Pizza Express laid on a complimentary feast of Italian food and afterwards my mummy enjoyed Salted Caramel Ice Cream from Jude’s.
All the bloggers were treated to demonstrations and shown all the new Christmas goodies from LUSH and had the opportunity to enter the raffle and raise money for charity.
My mummy won in the bloggers raffle a couple of times (it’s becoming a bit of a habit as she did the same at BlogOnWin too) with all money going to MIND charity. There were some great prizes up for grabs and Jenny had selected a really great charity to help. The event went on for 2 hours and seemed to go very quickly. Everyone had smiles on their faces and the conversations flowed easily. A really friendly bunch of bloggers!
Afterwards my mummy left with a great goodie bag, oh and a great doggie bag too!! 😉 one of the friendliest networking events she has been to and it was great catching up with a few familiar faces and meeting some new ones as well.
