PJ Masks Owlette Costume Review

Dear Mummy, so we opened the box. The special delivery that was left on our doorstep last week. At first we were worried that Luna Girl (a villain from PJ Masks) had left it there as a trick for us. We were worried that if we opened it up loads of her pet moths would fly into our house.

Luckily for us it contained something much nicer and highly anticipated. It was a range of PJ Masks toys from the new toy range launched at the beginning of February in the UK. The range has role play costumes, plastic figurines, vehicles and soft toys to appeal to all PJ Masks fans.

This is our review on the new PJ Masks Owlette costume from Just Play/Flair at £24.99.

There are three dress-up sets in the PJ Masks range and kids can transform into their favourite characters. I love Owlette and she is my favourite character, we share similar traits and hobbies as I love to jump off things, play football and ride on my bike. I love the vivid red of her costume and toys too.

Each costume set comes with a full bodysuit to fit children from aged 3+ to 6 years old. I’m 4 years old and even though it was a bit big it still fit comfortably. The material was lightweight and didn’t attract static which was good, it meant I could wear a vest and leggings underneath without over heating. I was thrilled when I put it on and immerse myself in my favourite cartoon character. You can see from the photos how happy I was. Even my mummy wanted to get in on the role play action, however sadly the costume didn’t fit her just the mask 😉

My Owlette mask fitted perfectly thanks to the elasticated strap and was a great fit for my little head. It wasn’t a flimsy mask either but a really substantial and thick padded fabric which meant that it held its shape too. The top half of my costume was secured at the back by velcro and I found it easy to get it on and off by myself. The double stitching was clean and reinforced to save against wear and tear. The material was bright and colourful and each character had their emblem emblazed on the chest.

The Owlette costume also had detachable wings which were secured by velcro around the neck, like a cape. It also had 2 elastic loops on the wing tips to secure around my fingertips in order to keep the wings in place while I flew around the room (see our video below for a demonstration).

This costume was one of the best gifts I’ve had so far this year and I’m really chuffed with my Owlette fancy dress. A great investment for my toy box this year and I’m going to have lots of fun pretending to be Owlette, hopefully my mummy can get the costume off me in order to wash it!

  1. This looks amazing! My little girl is PJ Mask crazy too, she says she is owlette too and her brother is gekko. I had no idea you could buy outfits, I will have to keep an eye out for her birthday xx

  2. Oh my goodness! We’ve only just discovered PJ Masks. My kids go on about them ALL the time, I had no idea there was a toy range too. I’m so getting these! Thanks.

  3. There’s PJ Masks fever in our house at the moment. I’m thinking of getting the Cat Boy one for my little boys birthday.
