Taking me to BritMums

Baby On A Stick

#babyonastick at #BritMumsLive

As some of you will know, my mummy is heading to BritMums Live in London this weekend. It’s a massive conference for parenting and lifestyle bloggers. Sadly I cannot make it, I have a prior engagement with Daddy and CBeebies. *I’ve been waiting weeks for some daddy and daughter only time*

However, my mummy didn’t want me missing out on all the fabulous updates and photo opportunities with other bloggers. So….she is taking me with her….on a stick! Yes, you heard me correctly…my mummy is printing out my face and putting me on a home-made selfie stick so I can appear in all her photos on the days she’s hobnobbing with other bloggers.

It means I can participate in the Insta-Walk and get to pose with some of London’s famous landmarks. So keep an eye on our Instagram account and #babyonastick across Twitter and Facebook.

I’m sure my mummy will catch up with me when she returns on Sunday to give me a debrief of the conference, what I missed, who was there etc..

So if you see my mummy walking around with a baby face sticking out of her bag…come over and say hi and get your photo taken with me!

Next time I’ll hopefully get to meet you all, but as I can’t string a sentence together yet…its probably for the best (unless you can translate toddler speak).

My mummy will see some of you later!

The Brilliance in Blogging Awards (2015)

The Brilliance in Blogging Awards (BiBs) 2015

Dear mummy, it’s that time of year again! Awards season. We’ve had the Oscars and The Brits but this one is a bit closer to home. You see it’s time for the BiBs2015.

So what is it exactly? Well for all my non-blogging friends it’s the ‘Brilliance in Blogging Awards’ hosted by BritMums to celebrate and recognise the most creative and compelling parent and lifestyle blogs around today. We’ve only been blogging for a year, so we’re all fairly new to this crazed voting. Social Media is alive with the buzz of the #BiBs2015.

We don’t profess to be the best bloggers in the world, far from it – but we are different (slightly strange) and hopefully this is why we will stand out.

It’s not everyday that you get a small child blogging her way through life.

Yes, my spelling is atrocious and my grammar is appalling but my mummy proofreads my ramblings while I’m in bed asleep. She’s not the best proofreader though, being slightly dyslexic and finds the words just tumble onto the page like a bit of a mind dump. But she enjoys it and this is why we blog together.Funny parenting blogs

We share our adventures on this little online diary, our highs and sometimes our lows as a family. Anything that we see or experience we share through honest reviews and along the way we make recommendations through wish-lists and top picks. We’re active on social media and love joining in with #somum make dates on Twitter.

I like to think I’m humorous and I love to make people laugh. So if you like our light-hearted take on life and enjoy our blog please vote for us in the ‘Fresh Voice’ category of this year’s BiBs2015.

To vote for little ol’ me just swing over to the BritMums Nomination Form

We’ve picked our favourites…have you?

I love you mummy

We’ve had a real day of it! I’m teething, I’m in mood. I’ve had no naps. I’ve tipped scrambled egg over my headScrambled egg on my face, lost a shoe and been a little madam. To make up for it, while on our trip to Cliveden today (National Trust). We sat on our picnic blanket. We had lunch and lay back looking at a tree swaying in the breeze. The sunlight was breaking through the leaves, twinkling in the sky like stars. I turned around to you and put on my best Barney voice and said…..I love you. My sing-song voice delivering those 3 magic words every mum wants to hear. For the first time I uttered those words. I know you think I was mimicking you, but I meant it.

I love you mummy.

My week in pictures #4

The week that was captured.

Dear mummy, I’ve linked up with makedoandoush for her weekly #TWTWC linky. This week You Baby Me Mummy is hosting. What a whirlwind of a week it’s been! The bank holiday weekend was especially busy with a trip to Finkley Down Farm in Andover, toddling up the long walk to the Copper Horse on the Queen’s Estate at Windsor Great Park (we sadly didn’t see the Queen though) and chilling by the river at Bartons Mill, Old Basing.

Baby and toddler show

I managed to get in a review for Little Tikes and surf my ride. We also visited the Baby and Toddler show courtesy of Rockabye Baby LND after winning free tickets to the event. This included my first ever trip to Bluewater Shopping centre and the fabulous Mayoral Store to buy some beachwear for my upcoming holiday.

I even picked up a cute little rucksack! We celebrated May the Forth be with you and wore my beautiful new dress from www.tinytotstogs.co.uk (review coming shortly) We had a lovely family BBQ and I sat and read my Mr Happy Book. We stopped to admire some bluebells.

Bank holiday 1

Phew hectic! You can read more about my reviews here and Finkley Down Farm here. Enjoy 🙂
