Dear Mummy, phew! We’ve had a whirlwind of a year. Along with launching our YouTube channel ‘officially’ and producing weekly vlogs we’ve also continued writing our blog. 2018 was our fourth year of blogging and our hobby is now starting to take up more of our free time. We’re thankful for all the opportunities it’s given us this year and we’d like to reflect on what we’ve been up to in 2018.
We were lucky to spend New Year at Coombe Mill in Cornwall. It was lovely heading to the coast on New Year’s Day and spending quality family time in a cottage on a farm. We explored the local area and even visited Fistral Beach to watch the surfers.
We’ve had a crazy weather in 2018 with the Beast from the East as we encountered not one, but two snow downfalls. Which was great for me as I had a couple of snow days and made snow angels. It was the first time I experienced proper snowfall.
We took a trip to Northern Ireland and visited the Giants Causeway for February half term as well as discovering an amazing waterfall. School was going well and I had settled in by Easter and with lots of fun activities we made the most epic Easter bonnet in our first weekly vlog and I met the Easter bunny at Wyevale Garden Centre. I also ate my body weight in Easter chocolate from Hotel Chocolate and discovered Biscuiteers!
Mummy and I had a lovely little break at New Forest and went fossil hunting and took loads of beach trips. We took a trip up to London to the YouTube Space to pick up some tips and tricks with BritMums. We also we’re lucky enough to work with Parkdean Holidays and take a lovely holiday to the Jurassic Coast for their #CoastalAdventures campaign.
Along with a press trip onboard The Independence of the Seas #MyIndy, we did things we wouldn’t ordinary do like attending two blog conferences and camping outside in the garden as part of the #WildNightOut.
The heat wave started just before the schools broke out and we enjoyed a lovely sunny Geronimo Festival. We got addicted to Dorset Cereals after indulging in their muesli at Geronimo. I witnessed my first Royal Wedding and we had a little party.
We also had a World Cup frenzy as England nearly brought football home. We also camped at NozStock Festival for the first time and helped celebrate their 20th anniversary. The weather came crashing down as we experienced the height of the British heat wave and also the storms afterwards at Camp Bestival in July. It was great fun though and one of our favourite festivals to visit. We made our first TV appearance on Channel 4 Britain’s Wildest Weather (aired 30th Dec 7.30pm) to chat about our Camp Bestival experience.
The summer was a bit of a wash out but we did managed to get to the New Forest Fairy Festival. We also attended CarFest for my mummy’s birthday and saw the fantastic Paloma Faith. The Greatest Showman took over our screens with me memorizing the songs and dance routines. We also got swept up in the Baby Shark frenzy and Flossing! In the midst of all our days out we also managed to squeeze in 26 toy reviews with unboxing videos.
We also became Millets/Blacks ambassadors and enjoyed camping trips and was part of the BBC Children in Need #HatsOn fundraising efforts. We took part on a couple of BritMums Pro challenges, trying to rustle up a tasty treat with Rustlers Burgers #RustlersHack and indulged in British cherries #LoveFreshCherries.

We looked to autumn and challenged ourselves with Vlogtober (daily vlogging in October). We’re massive fans of Halloween and enjoyed going to the Halloween Spooktacular at Paultons Park! We had fun producing videos for 31 days and it really helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
We got hooked on A Discovery Of Witches after a attending a special screening with SkyOne and meeting the author and stars from the show. We also got to explore Oxford and attend Spellbound exhibition which was pretty cool after our trip to The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic in Boscastle earlier in the year.
But the best was yet to come as we visited Disneyland Paris for the first time as a family. Paris was wonderful and we visited in the Halloween half term and enjoyed the parades and staying on park for the magic hours.

We worked on some really exciting campaigns and love heading up to London for the I’M A GIRLY UK launch and meeting top kid Influencer Tiana from Toys_AndMe! One day I’d love to become as successful as her! We also worked with Microsoft UK and got to meet Ben Fogle at the SurfacePro UK Launch in London which was awesome. My daddy took me as he’s a tech head and couldn’t wait to see the device.
In December we enjoyed visiting Winter Wonderland and of course, LaplandUK which never fails to disappoint. We were also lucky to see Father Christmas at Marwell Zoo for their Christmas experience and see family and friends over the month.
Christmas was low-key this year, as my mummy worked over Crimbo Limbo. It’s been the most amazing year and we’re so glad it was different from 2017 after all my mummy’s lung collapses. Here’s to 2019 and keeping the positivity going. We’re super excited to push our YouTube channel more and concentrate on producing exciting content for you guys.
Hope you all have a fantastic New Year!
Love Bella and her folks x
